ESCAPADE 2019
We promised you our biggest line-up yet this year to celebrate our 10thanniversary, and with headliners like DJ Snake and Martin Garrix, we definitely honored our promise brilliantly ! Our incredible line-up was revealed on Monday at the end of the day, and the response to it has been so amazing that we even broke Instagram.
Great things definitely take time, and that is why we waited until the last second to reveal you the very impressive list of artists playing at Escapade this summer. DJ Snake and Martin Garrix are one of the biggest names in the industry right now, and you can expect some crazy performances from them !
They’re popularity is growing every day, but we thought you might still want to learn more about these two great artists !
DJ SNAKE
Born William Sami Étienne Grigahcine in Paris, DJ Snake was first nominated at the Grammy’s in 2012 after working on Lady Gaga’s album Born This Way, but really started getting notice in 2013 after he released his hit song Turn Down For What.
His popularity around the United States and the rest of the world really started growing after he released the worldwide hit Lean On, in collaboration with Major Lazor. It is also around that time his You Know You Like Itremix started to get noticed ! He’s been part of the DJ Mag Top 100 since 2014, and even won DJ Of The Year in 2018 at the NRJ Music Awards. He also collaborated with many big names in the industry, such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Cardi B, Ozuna and Skrillex !
MARTIN GARRIX
The Dutch DJ and producer has been the number one on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list for three years in a row, at only 22 years old ! In 2016, he founded his own record label Stmpd Rcrds, a couple of months after officially leaving Spinnin’ Records.
He was first discovered by Tiësto around 2012, but finally gained fame at only 17 years old after he released his track Animals, that became a hit in a great number of countries in Europe. It is also that same song that allowed him to become the youngest artist to reach No.1 on Beatport ! Martin Garrix is also behind many electronic music hits, such as Gold Skies, The Only Way Is Up, Dragonand Lions In The Wild.
