The American hip hop trio Migos, from Atlanta, will perform at Beachclub July 23rd for a very eventful hip hop day! Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset will storm the Beachclub’s main stage and we’re expecting one hell of a party!
The trio is finally noticed worldwide in 2013 after the release of their single Versace and has only been successful since then. So here are a top 3 highlights of Migos’s career so far!
Top 3 :
1. Donal Glover’s speech at the Golden Globe
In January 2017, actor and musician Donal Glover said: ” They’re the Beatles of this generation… There’s a generation of kids — like, the YouTube generation I came up with — that are growing up on something that’s completely separate from a whole group of people. That song, Bad and Boujee, is just fly “. With these words, he sent Bad and Boujee to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The second Migos album was released in January 2017. It included collaborations with DJ Khaled, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert. Culture debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold more than 130,000 copies in the first week of its release. The album was also certified platinum three months after it came out.
3. The Dab
Although there is a disagreement about who originated the dance, the Dab has its origins in the Atlanta hip-hop scene, and Migos is included among the artists frequently mentioned as possible originators. In 2015, the trio released their first music video for their song Look at My Dab, which quickly became viral.
Migos’ performance at Ile Soniq last summer did not go unnoticed, and we can’t wait to welcome them for their first Beachclub appearance!
