Beachclub just announced another hip-hop artist and this time it’s the American rapper Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, who’s definitely going to make waves on July 28th.
He became popular back in 2006 after the release of his hit track Hustlin. The music video for the song has now more than 65 million views on Youtube. Hustlin was the first single of his very first album, Port of Miami, which debuted at the top spot on the U.S Billboard 200 during the first week of its release. Also, even before the album officially came out, Christian Hoard, of Rolling Stone magazine, predicted that the album would be “the summer’s biggest rap record”.
In 2011, Rick Ross performed at the BET Awards, in addition to being nominated in the “Best Rapper” category. A year later, in 2012, he was named at the top of the MTV News Hottest MC in the Game list. His success does not end there, as he collaborated with several great artists during his career, such as Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, DJ Khaled and let’s not forget about Skrillex, with whom he collaborated for the hit Purple Lamborghini. Moreover, in 2016, the song Purple Lamborghini, released as a single for the motion picture soundtrack for the DC Comics film Suicide Squad, received a Grammy nomination in the category “Best Song Written for Visual Media”.
He recently scared many of his fans after he was hospitalized for an unknown reason, but a short and reassuring message: “Ain’t nothing like home. I love y’all – WLR ” finally came to reassure his supporters.
Therefore, we can expect a very healthy Rick Ross on July 28th!
