Zomboy

Last weekend, the Bud Light Escapade Music Festival was taking place, and one of the artists who left us completely speechless is Dubstep DJ and producer Zomboy, who absolutely set the Videotron stage on fire. He was at Beachclub last June, and we still remember that day as one of the most eventful of last season. It is therefore without any hesitation that we have called him back to be the Official ÎleSoniq Beach Day’s headliner.

Career

Zomboy, whose real name is Joshua Mellody, was born in a small town near Cornwall, England called Penzance. He studied music production at the Guildford Academy of Contemporary Music and then came to America, where he worked in recording and sound engineering before returning to the UK to pursue his dream of producing his own music. He admired Skrillex and Rusko a lot, and it was from this admiration that his music style and his artist’s name were born, inspired by the video game Left for Dead.

Accomplishments

Zomboy began his career in 2011 with Organ Donor from of his EP Game Time, released under the British label Never Say Die Records, which supports several international artists such as Dr. Ozi, Eptic, Habstrakt, Krimer, LAXX, Megalodon , MUST DIE! and Trampa. This EP was ranked in the Beatport’s Top 5 Dubstep tracks for 8 weeks. Since then, many of his songs, such as Terror Squad, Braindead, Organ Donor, and Pump It Up have had tremendous success, and Zomboy has also performed at major festivals such as EDC Las Vegas and Ultra Music Festival.

We can’t wait to have him back at Beachclub, and what a better way to end a festival weekend than with a party on the beach !
